WHO WE ARE
The New Tampa Democratic Club (NTDC) was founded in 2014 and reorganized in 2016 by local resident Laura Blank. Her vision was simple: give New Tampa residents a place to connect, share their values, and become more informed, engaged voters. With just 25 people at the very first meeting, it was clear our community was ready for a voice and a home for Democratic organizing.
Today, the club is officially chartered with the Florida Democratic Party through the Hillsborough County Democratic Executive Committee (HCDEC). We meet on the fourth Monday of each month to discuss issues, hear from candidates, and plan activities that strengthen our democracy here at home.
Our members represent neighborhoods across New Tampa—Hunters Green, Arbor Greene, Richmond Place, Tampa Palms, Cory Lake Isles, Heritage Isles, Pebble Creek, K-Bar Ranch, Live Oaks Preserve, Esplanade of Tampa, Grand Hampton, and beyond. Whether you live in a subdivision, apartment, or along the Bruce B. Downs corridor, you’re welcome here. Together, we’re building an informed and active community ready to make a difference.
